'SHAFT' tells the story of seven women over one night at the pole dancing club in London where they work. This exciting new work from London based director Debra Stych examines what goes on behind the curtain. The relationships, the lives and the stories of these characters are played out in the clubs dressing room and on stage and are based on the real life experiences of former dancers. This original work will premiere in August at The Etcetera Theatre as part of The Camden Theatre Festival '09.Also starring Nathalie Mayer (How it Ended) and Alison Playford (The Vagina Monologues).
NEED A DANCER? With 15 years of training in ballet and street dance, and 4 years of professional choreography in theatre and music, Stephanie will be available from summer 2009 to choreograph shows (teens, rep, local theatre, secondary schools etc) in the UK. She has to date choreographed Jesus Christ Superstar, original shows Waterloo High and The Blues Brothers as well as Variety Gala's for multiple charities and Performing Arts Schools in the Republic of Ireland and has been a principle dancer in the Old Vic London. She is trained to a professional standard in hiphop and encorporates multiple styles into her shows from jazz ballet to contemporary- to fit the desired brief.
